Lapland, Finland

Winter is an enchanting time to travel to Finland and you’ll be awestruck by the vast blue skies, spellbinding scenery seemingly plucked straight from a storybook, and the incredible adventures open to you and yours.

Fly into Rovaniemi and pay the Father Christmas Village or SantaPark Christmas theme park a visit, two magical places where it’s always that special time of year.

The grownups in your party have entertainment options in Rovaniemi as well, thanks to its being situated next to Ylläs, one of the most beloved downhill ski-resorts in Finland. Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and the largest city in the country. Situated on the coast, it’s a small, walkable destination jam-packed with things that kids will enjoy doing. You can take in some excellent museums, wander along the sea wall, and sample some pretty strange ice-cream flavours. The city’s concert hall, Harpa, has to be seen to be believed, as well. Made from glittering glass squares that sees light dancing across its surface, it’s a truly unforgettable landmark.
